The 100 CLUB Draw in respect of JUNE 2008 payments was made at the clubhouse on Saturday Night, 19th July 2008. See NEWS for result of draw

=============================================================
Tuesday, 22nd July 2008
Our Under 13A side won at home in a friendly against Hambrook.

Monday, 21st July 2008
5 of the team who played the previous day's U15 cup final, were in the 12 that had a great last ball win over Cam U17 (away) in the 2008 Under 17 Plate Semi-Final. We now play Hanham U17 in the FINAL at THE COUNTY GROUND on SUNDAY, 3RD AUGUST 2008 at 13.00, in what should be another great day out for Bish.

Sunday, 20th July 2008
Our Under 15s lost a close Knock-Out Cup Final against
Bristol West Indians at Frenchay C.C., but have their chance for revenge in the League play-off semi-final (week commencing 3rd August 2008).

Saturday, 19th July 2008
Our 1sts won, but 2nds, 3rds & 4ths lost.

Friday, 18th July 2008
Our Under 15s finished their Section E league campaign with a win at home over Long Ashton. This maintained their 100% record in the league and sets up a Semi Final Play-Off away to Bristol West Indians (week commencing 3rd August 2008).

Thursday, 17th July 2008
The 1sts brought home the club's first trophy of the season by winning the Shirehampton Sixes. They retained the trophy, won last year, by beating an Indian touring side (representing Hambrook) in the Semi-Final and then Stapleton in the Final.
Our Under 17s won away at Almondsbury in Section B.

Wednesday, 16th July 2008
Under 17s lost away at Bristol YMCA in Section B to lose any realistic chance of reaching the play-offs.
The Seniors beat Twyford House in the Shirehampton Sixes Quarter Final and play their Semi-Final and, hopefully, FINAL tonight (Thursday 17th July 2008)
Our two Under 9 teams both had good wins away to Stoke Bishop.

Established in 1897, Bishopston C.C. is a very friendly, but also progressive Cricket Club, which on 1st December 2003, moved to its new Headquarters at Westbury Fields, a purpose-built complex of retirement homes encircling the newly-laid Cricket Field and Square.

It's a wonderful setting for Cricket, and Bishopston C.C. is very grateful to its Landlords, St.Monica Trust, for the opportunity to develop both on and off the field.

In 2004, this opportunity was taken, and the huge amount of hard work by the Trust, the Committee, the players, the professional coach and one or two other stalwarts of the Club, was rewarded with success on the field. Both the 1st X1 (Runners Up) and the 2nd X1 (Champions) were promoted to their respective Senior Divisions of the Bristol & District Leagues.

The Club caters for players of all ages and abilities running (in 2007) 4 X1s on a Saturday, a Sunday X1, and Youth sides from Under 9s up to Under 17s.

Weather permitting, there are fixtures at Westbury Fields every Saturday from the end of April to the beginning of September (the 1st X1 and 2nd X1 usually alternate Home and Away with matches usually starting at 2.00 p.m.)

Additionally, on Sunday mornings and weekday evenings, there is often one of the Bishopston junior teams playing at the ground.

So whatever your interest, come along and have a look at us. If you're not a player, please come along and support the teams, whilst enjoying the picturesque setting and fine clubhouse.

If you would like any further information, then please contact Dave King, one of our hard-working stalwarts, who is also our Youth Team Co-Ordinator, on 0117 9246114, or any of the officials shown on the 'About Us' section of the website.
